What is Airsoft?

Airsoft, or airsoft, is a tactical team shooting sport in which the opponent is neutralized by hitting plastic balls (eng. combat sports. Airsoft basically uses replicas of weapons that shoot with 6mm plastic balls. Airsoft games are of different styles, they are based on a scenario in which the participants of this game feel and act out a task to be performed by the team. The games can consist of various mini airsoft games, with a duration of ten to ten minutes, as well as longer games where a whole day is devoted to one airsoft scenario. To make the sport of airsoft more realistic and closer to reality, participants wear military camouflage uniforms, airsoft rifles are equipped with various accessories, and teams usually use military-style tactics.

History of Airsoft

Airsoft originated in the 70s of the last century in Japan, when interested parties who were denied access to real combat weapons had the idea to create replicas or copies of weapons that can be used by anyone interested in weapons. The largest manufacturers of airsoft rifles are located in Japan, China, Taiwan and the United States. During these years, airsoft has spread rapidly all over the world and won great recognition in active recreation.

Airsoft is often compared to paintball, but this game has different dynamics, shooting distances and game variations. It is more like reality.
